Legendary Sri Lanka National Cricket Team spinner Muttiah Muralitharan has showered rich praise on the India National Cricket Team spin bowlers Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi.

The young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi was terrific with the ball throughout the recently concluded T20I series against Australia and finished as the leading wicket-taker.

He was very impactful in the powerplay overs in the series as he bowled 7 overs in that phase and picked up 5 wickets while conceding 45 runs. Ravi Bishnoi was awarded ‘Player of the Series’ for his stunning performances.

Talking about the left-arm spinner Axar Patel, he was brilliant too, especially in the last two matches where he won the Player of the Match awards. Notably, Axar Patel has been left out of the squad for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa despite his exceptional show with the ball.

Overall, Bishnoi bagged 9 wickets at an average of 18.22 and an economy of 8.20 in the five-match T20I series against Australia. While Axar picked 6 wickets at an average of 20.66 and an economy of 6.20.

Bishnoi is different from any other leg spinner – Muttiah Muralitharan

Speaking on Jio Cinema, Muttiah Muralitharan said that India have always been blessed with terrific spin bowlers. He added that Bishnoi is very different from other spinners as he bowls quicker. The Sri Lanka great also lauded Axar Patel and Washington Sundar.

“India have always had a good, uh, set of spin in every generation. You see from Anil (Kumble) to (Ravi) Ashwin to now the young guys who have come. Bishnoi is different from any other leg spinner than any other ones. He bowls quicker and he makes slides the ball a lot and Axar also is very accurate, not a big spinner of the ball and Washi also is similar because he doesn’t turn much and is very accurate and quite quicker,” Muralitharan said.

Muralitharan further passed on a piece of advice to the young spinners. He stated:

“I think the most important thing is for the bowler to bowl to one’s field. Set up a field and bowl to that field. It is important to see the batsman’s stronger point as well.”

India National Cricket Team skipper Suryakumar Yadav continued the tradition and handed over the trophy to the youngsters after winning the five-match series against Australia National Cricket Team at home.

The Men In Blue won the first two matches by 2 wickets and 44 runs respectively, before losing the third T20I by 5 wickets. They bounced back strong in the next game and won it by 20 runs to clinch the series.

India then won the 5th and final T20I by 6 runs to clinch the series 4-1. The Suryakumar Yadav & Co. were invited to bat first in the last match and they posted 160/8 on the board, riding on the half-century from Shreyas Iyer and good contributions from Jitesh Sharma and Axar Patel.

Defending the target, the Indian bowlers did a wonderful job and restricted Australia to 154/8 to seal a victory in a nail-biter. Notably, Arshdeep Singh bowled an absolutely stupendous last over as he defended 10 runs against the star wicketkeeper-batter Matthew Wade.

After the win, Suryakumar Yadav collected the trophy and went on to give it to Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma, who were offered the center stage, and the duo celebrated alongside all the players.

Speaking after the match, skipper Suryakumar Yadav stated that the players did a good job and expressed satisfaction with their performance. Suryakumar Yadav said:

“It was a good series. The way the boys showed their skills was commendable. We wanted to be fearless, we wanted to enjoy when we were in the middle. I told them, “do whatever is right and just enjoy your game,” and they did the same. So very happy with that.”

He added that chasing a total of 160-175 is always tricky at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Suryakumar said:

“If he (Washington Sundar) would have been there it’d have been an add-on. At Chinnaswamy, 200+ is easier to chase. 160-175 is a tricky told here. After 10 overs, I told the boys that we have a game on.”

India National Cricket Team will next be seen in action when they tour South Africa for an all-format series.

Mukesh Kumar was at his exceptional best during the fifth game between India and Australia. The dead-rubber last match between the two teams took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

Mukesh Kumar bowled a magnificent spell of fast bowling against Australia. His best came during the 17th over when he picked two wickets and tilted the game in India’s favor. He caught the attention of many with the delivery he got out Ben Dwarshuis.

Mukesh Kumar produced a peach to send the Australia batter packing. He bowled a seam-up ball that skidded off the deck. The batter tried to stay at the leg-side of the ball to run it down to third man. He played down the wrong line and the ball uprooted the middle stump.

Here’s the video:

Ben Dwarshuis bagged a golden duck as he had no answers to the peach by Mukesh Kumar. The pacer earlier in the over removed Matthew Short as well. The all-rounder was looking threatening but managed just 16 runs.

Mukesh Kumar removed Josh Phillippe in the powerplay as well to set the tone for his side. He picked three wickets and returned with the figures of 3/32 in his quota of 4 overs.

After Mukesh Kumar’s spell, Arshdeep Singh became the hero for India in the last game. The fast bowler defended 10 runs in the final over and helped his side win the game. India bagged the series by a margin of 4-1.

IND vs AUS: Thanks to God, I defended it – Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh talked about the last over, saying that he was thinking that he gave away runs in the first three overs. He also talked about the conversation with skipper Suryakumar Yadav and said that he will take a lot of learnings from this series. He added:

“I was thinking that I gave away too many runs (in the first three overs) and was hoping for another chance, and thanks to God, I defended it and also thanks to the staff that they believed in me. Surya (before bowling the final over) told me whatever happens, happens, and credit goes to the batters as well.

“We had a cushion of 15-20 runs and it was definitely more than par. According to the standards we have set as an Indian team, it was not near par (speaking about his performances in this series) but there are a lot of learnings to take and hoping to come back stronger.”

India will be next seen in action when they will tour South Africa.

The 5th and final T20I of the five-match series between Suryakumar Yadav-led India National Cricket Team and Matthew Wade-led Australia National Cricket Team was held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, December 3.

The match between the teams was a dead rubber as India were heading into the game with an unassailable lead of 3-1. The Men In Blue won the first two matches by 2 wickets and 44 runs, before losing the third T20I by 5 wickets. They bounced back strong in the next game and won it by 20 runs to clinch the series.

Meanwhile, Australia won the toss in the match and opted to bowl first. They made one change to their playing XI as Nathan Ellis replaced Chris Green. India also made the sole change as Deepak Chahar, who went back home due to a medical emergency, was replaced by Arshdeep Singh.

The opening batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad tried to provide India with a good start, but they were able to add just 33 runs together. After the dismissal of openers, India lost quick wickets and were reduced to 4-55.

Despite the loss of early wickets, Jitesh Sharma played with an attacking mindset and added a brilliant 42-run partnership in 24 balls with Shreyas Iyer.

After that, Axar Patel played a fantastic knock of 31 runs off 21 balls to provide stability to the Indian batting unit. However, the top performer for the side was Shreyas Iyer, who scored 53 runs off 37 balls, with 5 fours and 2 sixes. In the end, India posted a good total of 160/8 on the board.

Chasing the target, Travis Head, who has troubled India a lot, once again looked threatening with the bat. However, before he did much damage, the young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi dismissed him.

After the dismissal of Head, Ben McDermott took the responsibility and he showcased a batting masterclass. He hit a brilliant 54 runs and stitched together crucial partnerships with Tim David and Matthew Short.

In the end, Australia came very close to winning as they needed just 10 runs off 6 balls in the last over and Matthew Wade was on the strike. Arshdeep Singh, who gave away 37 runs in his first three overs, came to bowl the last over and showed great character.

Arshdeep Singh bowled two dot balls to Wade before dismissing the batter on the third ball for 22 runs. In the next three balls, he gave away just 3 runs and helped India win a thrilling match by 6 runs to finish the series with a dominant 4-1 win.

Australian batter Ben McDermott made many go gaga with his brutal shot in the ongoing fifth T20I against India. The dead rubber fifth game between the teams is taking place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Australia started the chase of 161 runs on a high note as Travis Head (28) slammed Indian bowlers all over the park. Even though Josh Phillippe (4) lost his wickets early, Ben McDermott made sure that he kept the run rate on high.

Ben McDermott so far has played some crisp shots in his innings. But his one hit caught the attention of many. He smacked Avesh Khan for a gigantic 98m six that landed on the roof of Bengaluru. It made the crowd go gaga and cheer loudly.

Avesh Khan bowled a short-of-length delivery to which Ben McDermott charged down the track. He got a flat top edge on the pull and the ball flew away for a big six. Here’s the video:

Ben McDermott will be crucial for Australia’s chances in the last game. He will have to carry his bat to take his team through. Australia are under pressure as they lost a few quick wickets and were left tottering at 55/3.

Ravi Bishnoi brought India back into the game after the brutal start by Australia. The spinner castled the stumps of Travis Head for 28 runs. If this was not enough he also removed Aaron Hardie for 6 runs.

IND vs AUS: Shreyas Iyer, Jitesh Sharma and Axar Patel play vital knock to power India to 160 runs

Jitesh Sharma (24) and Axar Patel (31) supported him well as India posted a total of 160 runs on the board. For Australia, Tanveer Sangha was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 1/26.

Shreyas Iyer played a staggering knock in the ongoing fifth T20I against Australia. The dead-rubber last game between the two teams is taking place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, where India were asked to bat first.

Shreyas Iyer played a lone hand for his team in Bengaluru as he played a sensational innings and took his team to a fighting total. Despite wickets falling at the other end, he made sure that he played till the end and kept his team in the hunt in the last game of the series.

Shreyas Iyer came to bat in the 4th over and played a staggering knock. He didn’t get the desired support from his teammates but he made sure that he kept the run rate in check. On a pitch, where every Indian batter struggled, he stood tall and played a blinder.

Shreyas Iyer’s stay at the crease however was cut short by Nathan Ellis in the last over. The fast bowler bowled a pinpoint yorker on the stumps that tailed into the middle stump. The batter tried to swing but the ball caught the pads and then hit the stumps.

Shreyas Iyer ended with the knock of 53 runs off 37 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 143 and also smashed 5 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. His knock powered India to a total of 160 runs. Apart from him, Jitesh Sharma (24) and Axar Patel (31) chipped in as well.

IND vs AUS: The more I can get it outside of their hitting line, the more hard it is for them – Tanveer Sangha after his heroics against India

Tanveer Sangha was the shining light for Australia in the fifth game. He returned with the figures of 1/26, picking the wicket of Rinku Singh.

Tanveer Sangha talked about his bowling performance, saying that batters taking risks is a reward for him. He also added that he’s trying to bowl the stump line. He explained:

“Bit of tackiness in it, if you hit your length, it’s hard to get it off the square. Great pitch to bowl spin on. That’s the main thing with any wrist spinner – consistency. If a spinner can control his length, he can be very successful on most pitches in India. The more I can get it outside of their hitting line, the more hard it is for them. More risk for him, more advantage for me. That’s what I was trying to do against the lefties and tried to attack the stumps against the righties.”

India have already sealed the series 3-1. It remains to be seen if they can defend the total of 160 runs or not.

Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan wasn’t happy with the the scheduling of ongoing India vs Australia T20I series. He said that both the teams shouldn’t have been playing as they recently competed in the ICC World Cup 2023.

India and Australia are currently locking horns with each other in the five-match T20I series. What has been surprising was the series kickstarted a few days after the ICC World Cup 2023 concluded. Both teams played final of the tournament and were yet again in action after four days.

Although India fielded a completely different side in the series, the Australian squad had quite a few members from the World Cup squad. The players looked absolutely tired and the governing bodies of both the nations received a lot of criticism as well for the timing of the series.

Even Australian player Mitchell Marsh wasn’t amazed with it. He said that his team didn’t get a chance to celebrate the World Cup because they had to prepare for the next series. He also stated that it was a tiring campaign and would’ve been good if players got more time to spend with their families before playing.

Recently Michael Vaughan took to his X account and talked about the series. He criticized the timing of the games, stating that it’s the most ridiculous series. He wrote:

“The most ridiculous series … Non of them should have been playing.”

IND vs AUS: India lead the five-match T20I series 3-1

India have already sealed the five-match series 3-1 with the last game currently taking place in Bengaluru. The young team under Suryakumar Yadav has been fantastic. They produced an exceptional performance in the first game as they chased a mammoth total of 209 runs, which is the highest by India in T20Is.

In the second game, they bagged a 44-run win as after posting 235 runs, they restricted Australia to just 191 runs. Australia however, made a staggering comeback in the third and made sure that the series stayed alive. They chased a gigantic total of 223 runs with 5 wickets in hand. The Men in Blue then pounded Australia at Raipur by 20 runs to take the unassailable lead.

The 31-year-old India National Cricket Team right-arm pacer Deepak Chahar was not a part of the playing XI in the 5th and final T20I of the five-match series against Matthew Wade-led Australia National Cricket Team at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, December 3.

The match between the teams is a dead rubber as India are heading into the game with an unassailable lead of 3-1. The Men In Blue won the first two matches by 2 wickets and 44 runs respectively, before losing the third T20I by 5 wickets. They bounced back strong in the next game and won it by 20 runs to clinch the series.

Deepak Chahar recently returned to India’s T20I setup after a long one-year absence. He wasn’t originally included in the squad and his comeback was made possible due to the unavailability of pacer Mukesh Kumar for the third T20I.

Mukesh Kumar was granted leave by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ahead of the third T20I for his wedding. And to deal with his absence, the BCCI added Deepak Chahar to the squad for the remainder of the series.

Arshdeep Singh Replaces Deepak Chahar, Confirms Suryakumar Yadav

Ahead of the toss, the cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra informed that Deepak Chahar won’t take part in the match as he has made himself unavailable for selection due to a family health emergency.

“We would have loved to bowl first. I told the team to not change anything, another opportunity to play in front of an amazing crowd, so just go and enjoy. The way the batting unit has delivered, just told them to believe and execute. Arshdeep comes in for Deepak Chahar. He (Deepak) has flown back home because of a medical emergency.”

Indian wicketkeeper batter Jitesh Sharma opened up about how playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) makes things easier for young players in international cricket. He said that it allows players to understand the situation well and play freely.

Jitesh Sharma was one of the key architects behind India’s win in the fourth T20I against Australia. The keeper-batter played a vital knock and helped his side post a winning total on the board. In the pressure situation, he stepped up big time for his side.

Jitesh Sharma, who is new to his international career, looked unfazed by the pressure of international cricket. He played freely as if he belonged to the stage. The keeper-batter took the attack to the Australian bowlers and smashed them all over the park with his staggering hitting skills.

Jitesh Sharma ended a vital hand for his team. He scored 35 runs off 19 balls and helped his team go past 170 runs. He batted with a strike rate of over 184 and also smashed 1 four and 3 sixes in his innings.

Talking about his performance, Jitesh Sharma admitted that he was delighted with his innings. He also talked about how the handling pressure in IPL makes players used to international cricket. Speaking to Jio Cinema, he explained:

“Yes, I enjoy it a lot. Yes sir (IPL prepares you well for international cricket). The atmosphere is the same. I feel the pressure is same. because of IPL, a lot of things become easier in international cricket. You have experienced such pressure, you have been in these situations before. So it becomes a bit easy. Only when you are under pressure, will you know about your character.”

IND vs AUS: I prepare myself 100 percent when an opportunity presents – Jitesh Sharma

Jitesh Sharma added that he was analyzing bowlers even when he was warming benches. He admitted that he’s okay with being benched and added that he prepares himself for every situation. He added:

“I was not thinking anything. I was just analysing the bowlers. Even while sitting outside, you can have a look at the bowlers. I see it as an opportunity. There is no problem sitting on the outside. But I prepare myself 100 percent when an opportunity presents.”

Jitesh Sharma will be next seen in action when India will take on Australia in the dead rubber fifth T20I on Sunday (3rd December).

Former India National Cricket Team pacer and the current Gujarat Titans (GT) head coach, Ashish Nehra, has showered rich praise on Ruturaj Gaikwad and labeled him as a three-format player.

The 26-year-old opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad has started to showcase his talent at the international level as well after performing consistently for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Maharashtra in domestic cricket.

Now, the India selectors have started looking at Ruturaj Gaikwad as a three-format player and he has been included in Test, ODI, and T20I squads for the upcoming tour of South Africa.

In the ongoing T20I series against Australia, Ruturaj Gaikwad has delivered an outstanding performance. He got out for a diamond duck in the first match but then followed it up with scores of 58, 123*, and 32 with one more game remaining in the series. Notably, his unbeaten 123-run knock went in vain as the Aussies had won that game riding on the sensational century from Glenn Maxwell.

The kind of elegance that Ruturaj Gaikwad shows is unbelievable – Ashish Nehra

Speaking to Jio Cinema, Nehra said that Gaikwad brings solidity to the table in T20 cricket.

“Everybody knows what kind of a player he is (Ruturaj Gaikwad). When you talk about Yashasvi Jaiswal, his game is completely different compared to Ruturaj Gaikwad’s. You need solidity in the T20 format as well and that’s what Gaikwad brings to the table,” said Nehra.

He added that the “three-format” player Gaikwad’s elegance is unbelievable and outstanding.

“There’s no doubt that Ruturaj Gaikwad is a three-format player for India. The kind of elegance that Ruturaj Gaikwad shows is unbelievable, amazing and it was a great, great, great knock,” Nehra added.

India National Cricket Team under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav have already clinched the series by winning three of the first four matches and the last game of the series will be played on Sunday. The last match of the series will be hosted by the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The 29-year-old India National Cricket Team spin-bowling all-rounder Axar Patel has shared a cryptic post on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle probably referring to his snub from the T20I squad for the upcoming South Africa tour.

Axar Patel hasn’t been included in the squad for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa. Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar have been picked as the spin-bowling all-rounders with the former being handed the vice-captaincy.

The non-selection of Axar Patel surprised many as he has been performing quite well for the side in 20-over cricket. In the ongoing five-match T20I series against Australia, the spin-bowling all-rounder has been economical with the ball and played crucial roles in the team’s victories.

Axar Patel bagged the Player of the Match award for his exceptional bowling figures of 3/16 in the fourth T20I and a day after the game, he took to X to share a cryptic post. “Move in silence. Only speak when it’s time to say checkmate,” the star all-rounder posted on X.

Selection is not in my hand – Axar Patel

Axar Patel spoke about his snub from South Africa T20Is after the fourth T20I against Australia. He said that the selection is not in his hand and he understands why he has been dropped from the team. He elaborated:

“These things [selection] are not in my hand. It’s not like my name is not there, so I am fired up. It could be the opposite as well. If I had gone for a few, people would have said I was upset. It works both ways. Nothing like that, I was normal. Obviously, Jaddu bhai [Ravindra Jadeja] is coming back, so I was replaced.”

“There was nothing of that sort in my mind that I am not in that team, so I have to prove myself. The decision is up to the selectors. I followed what I was doing in the first three matches. I am happy to get among the wickets.”

So far in four matches in the Australia T20I series, Axar has registered bowling figures of 3/16, 1/37, 1/25, and 0/32. He will be looking to deliver a good performance in the last match as well to give a message to the selectors.

Indian batter Ruturaj Gaikwad opened up about the conversation with Yashasvi Jaiswal after the southpaw ran him out in the first T20I against Australia. The right-hander said that they mutually decided that they wouldn’t take risky singles in the further games.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal didn’t gel well as opening partners in the first game. The duo was involved in a horrible mixup and the right-hander had to walk back to the pavilion for a diamond duck. But after that game, they have got a good understanding of each other.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal since then have run between the wickets pretty well and have given the team good starts. The southpaw has been aggressive whereas the former has tried to hold the one end and bat throughout the innings.

Ruturaj Gaikwad talked about his partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal and said that they both are focused on the first two overs. He also added that his opening partner apologized to him for running him out in the first game. Speaking to Jio Cinema, he explained:

“After the first match, we decided that we’d be off from risky singles. We’ll just look for boundaries. He’s someone who takes the game on and regardless of any situation, he likes to be aggressive. The discussion has always been that if the wicket is suitable, we’ll go with a positive intent. But I think the focus is taking care of the first two overs.

“After he (Jaiswal) got out (in the first match), he was walking in and he immediately said sorry. I said it’s ok, it happens and it was maybe a mistake. I think mistakes do happen, so I am fine with that.”

IND vs AUS: I learned a lot about this format playing for CSK – Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad also talked about his learnings playing for Chennai Super Kings under MS Dhoni. He explained that Dhoni always tells him to not rush his thoughts. He explained:

“I learned a lot about this format playing for CSK. Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) is always keen on reading situations and understanding the game. He sends a message that you have to look for the team score and what the team requires irrespective of the situation of the game.

“In T20s you always have to be ahead of the game mentally and I give a lot of importance to that. The night before, I visualise what kind of situation may occur during the game, how the pitch may behave. Mahi bhai always insists that we don’t rush our thoughts, because there’s enough time for an opener even in a T20 match.”

Ruturaj Gaikwad has set the stage on fire in the ongoing T20I series against Australia. The batter has scored 213 runs to go with one ton and one half-century.

India National Cricket Team batting sensation Rinku Singh played a wonderful innings for the team in the fourth T20I of the five-match series against Australia National Cricket Team at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Friday, December 1.

Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. A total of 9 changes were made in the teams for the match with the hosts making 4 and the visitors making 5.

India left out Tilak Varma, Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh, and Ishan Kishan and replaced them with Shreyas Iyer, Mukesh Kumar, Deepak Chahar, and Jitesh Sharma. On the other hand, Chris Green, Ben Dwarshuis, Josh Philippe, Ben McDermott, and Matthew Short replaced Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Nathan Ellis, Kane Richardson and Josh Inglis in Australia.

Batting first, India were off to a good start as opening batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal (37) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (32) played really well. After that India lost Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav for low scores, but Rinku Singh (46) and Jitesh Sharma (35) showcased a batting masterclass to provide stability to India.

Rinku Singh smashed 46 runs off 29 balls and his innings consisted of 4 fours and 2 beautiful sixes. His first six came off a spectacular reverse-sweep while his second six was a tremendous 100-m maximum.

On the 3rd ball of the 12th over, Matthew Short bowled a pitched-up delivery on the middle stump. Rinku Singh went on the front foot, bent low, and smashed the ball over backward point for a six.

Boys showed character and that was most important for us – Suryakumar Yadav

India won the match by 20 runs against Australia and with the win they sealed the series. Speaking after the game, India captain Suryakumar Yadav said that the toss was the only thing that didn’t go in their favor. He said:

“Other than toss, everything (went well). Boys showed character and that was most important for us. We spoke in the meeting before the game to go out and express yourself and be fearless.

“I always love putting Axar under pressure and the way he bowled was unbelievable. The plan (during the death overs) was to go for the yorkers and then see what happens.”

Australia National Cricket Team wicketkeeper-batter and captain, Matthew Wade, was not happy after the India National Cricket Team wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma smashed a spectacular-looking six at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Friday, December 1.

India were invited to bat first in the match and opening batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal (37) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (32) provided the team with a brilliant start. They added 50 runs for the opening partnership.

The No.3 and No.4 batters – Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav – weren’t able to perform well in the match, but the next two batters Rinku Singh (46) and Jitesh Sharma (35) showcased a batting masterclass.

Jitesh Sharma hit 3 sixes in the innings and after one of his sixes, the Australian captain didn’t look happy and he screamed in anger. On the second ball of the 15th over, Jitesh launched a Chris Green delivery for a huge 89-m six. After the maximum, the camera panned towards wicket-keeper Matthew Wade, who was seemingly seen shouting at one of his fielders.

We just didn’t play spin very well – Matthew Wade

Batting first, India posted a huge total of 174/9 on the board and they managed to restrict Australia to 154/7 to win the match by a margin of 20 runs. With the victory, India also sealed the series with one game remaining.

Speaking after the match, Australian captain Matthew Wade blamed the poor batting against spinners as one of the key reasons behind the team’s failure. He said:

“We just didn’t play spin very well, lost a few little too wickets in the middle as well. The guys came in and did a good job but unfortunately we couldn’t do the job with the bat.”

Matthew Wade added that having depth in the squad in the lead-up to the World Cup is very important for them. He said:

“Just to continue to learn from the guys who are already established in the team and to have depth in the squad is really key as the T20 WC is around the corner.”

India National Cricket Team left-arm spinner Axar Patel castled the Australia National Cricket Team batsman Ben McDermott in the fourth T20I of the five-match series at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Friday, December 1.

The 29-year-old spinner has been economical with the ball in the ongoing series against the Aussies. Before today’s game, he registered bowling figures of 0/32, 1/25 and 1/37. He bettered his performance in the fourth T20I and finished his spell with an outstanding bowling figures of 3/16.

Axar Patel picked up the wickets of Travis Head, Aaron Hardie and Ben McDermott in the match. He dismissed McDermott on the second ball of the 12th over. The spinner bowled a short-length delivery, which was slow in the air. McDermott wanted to smash a boundary and he went for a big slog. He missed the ball completely and saw his stumps getting rattled. The Aussie batsman scored 19 runs off 22 balls, with one four and was back in the hut leaving Australia tottering at 87/4.

Axar Patel is turning up the battle in the ongoing 4th T20I against Australia. The match between the teams is taking place at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur.

India managed 174 runs with the bat and it seemed that Australia would pave their way to an easy victory with the start they got. However, Axar Patel has been the man of the moment for his team as he has picked wickets at regular intervals to keep his side in the hunt.

Aaron Hardie, who came to bat at No.4, looked in good touch and brought a sense of calm to the dressing room. However, his stay at the crease was cut short by Axar Patel, who produced a peach to send the batter packing for a low total.

Axar bowled a slow delivery and got the ball to curve in with a round-arm angle. Aaron Hardie tried to sweep the ball but got deceived by the lack of pace. He missed the ball completely and it hit the middle and off.

Aaron Hardie scored 8 runs off 9 balls. His wicket left Australia tottering at 52/3. Axar Patel provided his team with the breakthrough early on as well. The all-rounder removed dangerous Travis Head (31) and brought his side back into the game after a brutal start by Australia.

IND vs AUS: Axar Patel Removes Ben McDermott with a peach

After removing Aaron Hardie, Axar Patel continued his dominance over Australian batters as he removed Ben McDermott with the peach. He castled his stumps with the staggering delivery and the batter had no clue to it.

Axar Patel bowled a slightly short delivery that was slow in the air on off stump. Ben McDermott looked to slog over mid-wicket and lost his shape completely. The ball kept a fraction low and hit the top of off. This was all-rounder’s third wicket in the day and he finished with the figures of 3/16 in his quota of four overs.

Rinku Singh was shining light for India in the ongoing virtual decider 4th T20I against Australia. The match is taking place at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur, where visitors won the toss and opted to field first.

Rinku Singh bailed India out of trouble after they lost wickets at regular intervals. The batter came to bat when the team was 63/3. After that, he took the onus to himself and made sure that he kept his side in the game along with putting pressure on the opposition.

Rinku Singh batted with a positive mindset and played some staggering strokes. The batter smashed quite a few sixes in his innings but his one shot caught the attention of many. It was a stupendous stroke that made many in the stadium stand and applaud him.

During the last ball of the 13th over, Rinku Singh came down the track to Ben Dwarshuis. He took the momentum into the shovel and sent it soaring into the stands. It was 100-m six that amazed many.

Rinku Singh batted sensibly as he played shots all over the park. The batter scored 46 runs off 29 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 158.62 and also smashed 4 fours and 2 sixes in his innings that powered India to a fighting total.

IND vs AUS: India end with a total of 174 runs on the board

India were off to a flying start, thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal. The southpaw smashed 37 runs off 28 balls and put the opposition under pressure. After that, Ruturaj Gaikwad (32) played a handy knock but perished a crucial stage. Shreyas Iyer (8), and Suryakumar Yadav (1) couldn’t get going as India were under pressure.

Jitesh Sharma was at his hitting best in the ongoing fourth T20I between India and Australia. The match is taking place between the two teams at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur, where visitors won the toss and opted to field first.

India kept losing wickets at regular intervals but they made sure that they kept scoring runs at a faster pace. One of the best cameos of the innings came from Jitesh Sharma, who came out all guns blazing and put bowlers under pressure.

Jitesh Sharma went after the bowlers right from the start and made sure that India scored quickly. His best came in the 15th over, where he smashed two sixes and put debutant Chris Green under pressure. During that over one hilarious incident took place as well.

Chris Green bowled a high full toss to which Jitesh Sharma tried to smack. He couldn’t quite get hold of the shot and straight back to the bowler. Chris Green moved side and the ball hit KN Ananthapadmanabhan. The official also apologized to the batter for costing him some runs.

Here’s the video:

Jitesh Sharma batted aggressively after that as well and ended a vital hand for his team. He scored 35 runs off 19 balls and helped his team go past 150 runs. He batted with a strike rate of over 184 and also smashed 1 four and 3 sixes in his innings.

Rinku Singh (46) played a magnificent knock whereas Jitesh Sharma (35) supported him well as India posted a total of 174 runs. For Australia, Ben Dwarshuis picked three wickets whereas Jason Behrendorff and Tanveer Sangha bagged two wickets each.

Indian batter Ruturaj Gaikwad achieved a massive feat in the T20s. He surpassed Virat Kohli and KL Rahul to become the fastest Indian to score 4000 T20 runs in terms of innings.

Ruturaj Gaikwad achieved the feat in the ongoing 4th T20I against Australia at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur. The batter has continued his rich vain of form in the fourth game and is keeping his side in the hunt. He scored a century in the last game and is batting like a dream in Raipur.

India were asked to bat first and they lost early wickets and were tottering at 63/3. However, Ruturaj Gaikwad held the one end and bailed the team out of trouble. The batter played some glorious shots and made sure that his team kept the run rate in check.

Ruturaj Gaikwad along with Rinku Singh added 48 runs for the partnership and put Australia under immense pressure. The batter was looking set for another big knock but his stay at the crease was cut short by Tanveer Sangha as he bagged a soft dismissal.

Tanveer Sangha bowled a flighted delivery on off stump. Ruturaj Gaikwad backed away to play the inside-out loft but the ball just gripped a little. It took the outer half of the bat and balloons towards the short third.

Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 32 runs off 28 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 114.29 and also smashed 3 fours and 1 six in his innings. His valiant knock helped India go past 110 runs. The onus will now be on Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma to take the team to a big total.

India and Australia are set to clash with each other in the 4th game of the five-match T20I series on Friday (1st December). The match will take place at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium in Raipur.

With the game between two teams just a few hours away, there has been a bizarre thing that has come to notice. The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium in Raipur is without electricity in some crucial parts. The reason behind this has been the non-payment of the electricity bill, which has been pending since 2009, as per NDTV.

The stadium has a pending invoice of ₹ 3.16 crore. The electricity connection in the stadium has been cut since 2015. There has been a temporary connection in the stadium, which covers the fans’ gallery and boxes. The State Association will be using the generator to run the floodlights during the 4th India vs Australia game in Raipur.

Since the electricity has been cut in the stadium, three international matches have been played there. The PWD department had sent various notices to the stadium authority for the pending bills but they haven’t got any response as of yet.

President of Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS) which currently manages the stadium, categorically mentioned that they have no pending bills under them. He mentioned that the dues were under the previous government department. He stated:

“We can’t comment on the previous dues of the department that the stadium was under prior to CSCS coming in. That connection where dues maybe there was in the name of the relevant government department.”

IND vs AUS: India lead the five-match T20I series 2-1

India are currently leading the series by a margin of 2-1.

Australia however, made a staggering comeback in the third and made sure that the series stays alive. They chased a gigantic total of 223 runs with 5 wickets in hand.

Raipur is all set to host the IND vs AUS 4th T20I on Friday, December 1. The series is well poised after Australia’s win in the third T20I in Visakhapatnam. Both teams have a lot to play for heading into the final two games.

Australia won the third T20I on the back of Glenn Maxwell’s fourth T20I ton. He scored an unbeaten 104 as Australia chased down 223 scoring 21 off the final over. Maxwell’s ton overpowered Ruturaj Gaikwad’s maiden T20I ton in a batting feast.

After the third T20I, Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Josh Inglish, Adam Zampa and Marcus Stoinis returned home. Meanwhile, Ben McDermott, Josh Philippe, Ben Dwarshuis and Chris Green will be joining the squad in India.

For India, Deepak Chahar and Shreyas Iyer are available for selection. While Chahar joined the squad ahead of the third ODI, Iyer will be available for the final two matches. He will also take over vice-captaincy from Ruturaj Gaikwad.

India’s approach in the fourth T20I will be an interesting observation. Their batters have more than done the job for the team in the first three games. It was their bowling attack that struggled in the last game. Prasidh Krishna’s spot is definitely under threat after his performance in the last game. India needs the experience of Chhar up front with the new ball in the final two games.

IND vs AUS Weather Report Live Today And Pitch Report Of Raipur Stadium – 4th T20I, 2023

Raipur has hosted just one ODI match which was earlier this year between India and New Zealand. The IND vs AUS 4th T20I will be the first T20I match that will be played at this venue. There is not much data to eat into from the only international match played at the venue so far. Previously 8 matches from the 2014 Champions Trophy were held In Raipur including six qualifiers and two group stage games.

Talking about the conditions, the match starts at 7 pm in the evening. The weather conditions will be hazy with humidity around 77 percent. There will be slight cloud cover and a 5 percent chance of rain according to Accuweather. The pitch offers a good balance between bat and ball. Only one has been a score of over 200 posted at this venue across IPL and Champions League games.

Former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan lavished rich praise on batter Suryakumar Yadav for his heroics in the T20Is. Zaheer said that if anyone is close to AB de Villiers’ 360-degree tag it’s him as the kind of shots he has sets him apart.

Suryakumar Yadav, who is currently the No.1 ranked T20I batter, has exhibited his class yet again in the shortest format of the game. The batter has been in the golden touch in the ongoing T20I series against Australia and is one of the main reasons why India is leading the series 2-1.

Suryakumar Yadav started the series with a whirlwind 80-run knock that helped India secure a comfortable win. He played a brutal cameo of 19 runs in the second game and then followed it up with a 39-run knock in the third game in Guwahati. In the three innings, he has scored 138 runs at a massive strike rate.

Zaheer Khan believes that Suryakumar Yadav is the most deserving player for the Mr. 360-degree tag. Zaheer highlighted the kind of shots he played. Speaking to Cricbuzz, he said:

“He (Suryakumar) is certainly the most deserving of the lot right now, from whatever are seeing of players going around right now. He has tried to replicate that, isn’t it? You have seen those sixes over point and those shots to third man, those ramp shots, and those shots to the fine leg area.

“All those kind of aspects, he is certainly the most deserving candidate when it comes to AB de Villiers’ 360-degree tag.”

IND vs AUS: Every time we have seen him, he comes in with that flare and a clear mindset – Parthiv Patel on Suryakumar Yadav

Parthiv Patel, who was also present during the discussion, also lavished rich praise on Suryakumar Yadav. Parthiv stated that his gigantic average and strike rate makes him even more special. He explained:

“That is the reason why we have been talking about how important player Suryakumar Yadav is in this format. The average of 51 with a strike rate of 179, and that too in middle-overs, where there is no powerplay. That makes him even more special. Every time we have seen him, he comes in with that flare and a clear mindset.”

Suryakumar Yadav is arguably one of the best batters in T20 cricket. He has scored 1326 runs from 34 innings at an average of 51.00 and a strike rate of 179.18. He’s currently captaining India in the T20I series against Australia and will be next seen in action when 4th game takes place in Raipur on Friday (1st December).

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra criticized Suryakumar Yadav for mismanaging bowling resources in the third T20I against Australia. Aakash Chopra questioned Suryakumar Yadav’s decision to bowl Prasidh Krishna, who was expensive, in crucial overs of the game.

India set a formidable target of 223 runs after being asked to bat first in Guwahati on Tuesday. However, Australia managed to chase down the score on the final delivery with five wickets to spare. The visitors kept the five-match series alive, trailing 2-1 after three games.

Prasidh Krishna Was Extremely Expensive – Aakash Chopra

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra pointed out that strategic errors may have cost India the match. Chopra questioned the decision not to opt for a sixth bowler while other bowlers were conceding runs.

“Axar Patel bowled the 19th over. Prasidh Krishna was extremely expensive, but he bowled the 18th and 20th overs. India still did not use six bowlers. Prasidh Krishna went for 68 runs, but you got him to bowl because you didn’t even try to use a sixth bowler,” Chopra said.

“Axar was bowling extremely well but you held him back for the 19th over. Why did you hold him back – I have got no idea. Huge error in calculation because you did not use a sixth bowler, got a spinner to bowl the 19th over, and Prasidh Krishna to bowl the 18th and 20th overs, and you got hit a lot,” he added.

India was on track to win when Australia required 43 runs off the last two overs. However, Axar Patel conceded 22 runs in the penultimate over. Prasidh Krishna gave away 23 runs in the final over, resulting in the hosts losing the game despite setting a substantial target.

Why No One Is Bowling Travis Head Bouncers – Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra slammed Indian bowlers for not targeting Travis Head with bouncers. Chopra highlighted that the match seemed organized for Aaron Hardie, allowing him to bowl and open the batting.

“It’s not easy to chase 223 but Travis Head again started hitting. I am unable to understand at all that why no one is bowling him bouncers. We are saying everywhere that he should be bowled bouncers but no one did that,” Chopra further added.

“Aaron Hardie came with him. It seemed like this match was organized for Aaron Hardie, that he can bowl four overs even if he is going to be hit a lot, and then open the batting as well. He got out and then Josh Inglis and Tim David also got out. Travis Head also eventually got out to a short ball,” he concluded.

Team India opener Ruturaj Gaikwad opened up about the team’s loss in the third T20I of the ongoing five-match series against Australia. Ruturaj Gaikwad acknowledged that the dew made it extremely challenging for India’s bowlers while defending the target.

Australia secured a last-ball win by five wickets in the third T20I in Guwahati on Tuesday, November 28, keeping the series alive. Ruturaj Gaikwad played a stellar innings, scoring 123* off 57 balls, but Glenn Maxwell’s explosive 104* off 48 balls propelled Australia to the win.

We Have To Accept And Move On – Ruturaj Gaikwad

During the post-match press conference, when asked about concerns regarding India’s death-overs bowling, Ruturaj Gaikwad stated that bowling with a wet ball in such conditions is tough, and even a score of 12 or 13-14 runs per over becomes achievable.

“”I don’t think death bowling is a concern because it’s almost like you are bowling with a wet ball. It’s really tough on them. In these kind of situations or conditions, even 12 runs or 13-14 runs per over are gettable. In the first game, you saw easily we managed to chase 210. The conditions are slightly tougher for them [bowlers]. We have to accept and move on,” Gaikwad told reporters.

Australia needed 49 runs off the last three overs while chasing a 223-run target. However, India’s bowlers failed to stop Maxwell and Matthew Wade, who scored 28 runs off 16 balls. Maxwell smashed a boundary off Prasidh Krishna on the last ball to clinch victory.

The Wicket Got Slightly Better – Ruturaj Gaikwad

Gaikwad started cautiously amid early wickets but accelerated in the latter part of the innings. The young player mentioned that the pitch improved as the match progressed, stating that he initially felt it was a tacky surface to bat on.

“Initially, I felt, it [the pitch] was slightly tacky. The ball was stopping a little bit and there was some movement in the air and from the pitch as well. First two-three overs, I felt the wicket was like that and we lost two wickets in a span of one over. It was important that we stitch a partnership. After seven-eight overs, the wicket got slightly better,” Ruturaj further stated.

Glenn Maxwell showcased destructive strokeplay, scoring his fourth T20I century in the third match in Guwahati on Tuesday, November 28. The batter guided the Australian team to a five-wicket win. He scored 104 runs off 48 balls, including eight fours and as many sixes.

Don’t Get Much Better Than That – Matthew Wade

Matthew Wade acknowledged the challenge of facing the Indian team and emphasized the importance of putting up their best performance. Wade mentioned that Maxwell had to be introduced to the bowl last over due to an injury to Kane Richardson.

“You don’t get much better than that. It was always going to take our best and probably the best player of T20 cricket we have,” Wade was quoted as saying in the post-match presentation ceremony.

“I wouldn’t say “confident” was on my mind, but we knew here we can bat in chases. When we had five overs left but unfortunately Kane Richardson hurt himself so we were one short and had to bowl Maxi,” he added.

Hopefully We Can Take It To The Decider – Matthew Wade

The wicketkeeper-batter expressed the team’s need for a win in the next match, hoping that the younger squad members can keep the series alive until the final game. Wade mentioned that it presents an opportunity for the younger players to step up.

Suryakumar Yadav-led Team India had the opportunity to seal the ongoing five-match T20I series when they locked horns against Australia in the third T20I on Tuesday (November 28) in Guwahati.

The Men in Blue were looking destined to win the game and clinch the series after a stunning century from Ruturaj Gaikwad helped them post a huge total of 222 for 3 in the allotted 20 overs. Asked to bat first, the Men in Blue were off to a poor start as they lost the wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal (6) and Ishan Kishan (0) cheaply. Suryakumar Yadav got the start but failed to make the most of it and departed for 39.

However, Ruturaj Gaikwad remained firm at one end and went on to score his maiden T20I century to propel India to a big total. He remained unbeaten on 123 runs off just 57 balls. The right-handed batsman also shared an unbeaten stand of 141 runs with Tilak Varma who scored 31.

The 222-run total, however, was not enough for Team India as Australia clinched a thrilling last-ball win. The architect of the win was Glenn Maxwell who smashed an unbeaten 104 runs off just 48 balls.  He became the joint fastest Australian player to complete a century in the history of T20Is joining Aaron Finch and Josh Inglis.

Suryakumar Yadav explains Team India’s loss:

Following the unexpected loss after scoring the huge total, Suryakumar Yadav hailed Maxwell for his stunning knock. With a smile on his face, the India captain said:

“The plan was to get Maxi out as quickly as possible (laughs). But when you’re defending 222 with so much dew you have to give something to the bowlers. I felt like how we played at Trivandrum, there was heavy dew, they lost wickets early but wickets in hand for them meant they were always in the game. I told the boys in the drinks break to get Maxwell out quickly but that was insane.”

India will be looking to get back to winning ways in the fourth T20I. The penultimate match of the five-match series is scheduled to take place on Friday (December 1) in Raipur.

Rinku Singh has batted in just 4 T20Is so far for Team India but is already drawing comparisons with the legendary MS Dhoni who is arguably the greatest finisher in the history of the game.

The southpaw had a breakthrough season in this year’s IPL where he impressed one and all with his stunning finishing exploits. Throughout the tournament, he displayed his finishing abilities and finished the competition as one of the best batters.

In 14 games, the Kolkata Knight Riders star scored 474 runs at a stunning strike rate of almost 150. He also played one of the best knocks in the history of the IPL this year when he smashed five sixes on the last five balls to snatch a miraculous victory for his side against Gujarat Titans.

He has further enhanced his reputation by coming up with two fine cameos in the ongoing series against Australia. In the first T20I, he scored an unbeaten 22 off 14 balls to help India clinch a thrilling win. With 1 needed off the final ball, he hit a six although it did not count as the bowler had bowled a n0-ball. In the second game, Rinku Singh smashed an unbeaten 31 off just 9 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Ashish Nehra on Rinku Singh the finisher:

Former India pacer Ashish Nehra recently spoke about Rinku Singh and his finishing abilities. Hailing the youngster as a great asset for Indian cricket, Nehra said that he is not a big fan of the word ‘finisher’. He also opined that the Uttar Pradesh star can even bat up the order for India in the limited-overs format.

“This is not the first time he has done it. We all have been discussing his role, his power. Not just about his batting, even with the way he throws himself on the field, it shows he is a great team man. He will be a great asset to Indian cricket. Yes, we are talking only about T20 cricket, but who knows tomorrow he can also be playing ODI cricket,” Nehra told JioCinema.

“I am not a big fan of the word ‘finisher’. Your opener can be a finisher, if he scores a hundred, he can finish the game and come back. At times, it can be harsh. Let me give you an example, if the same Rinku Singh doesn’t finish the game once or twice. Coming back to Rinku Singh, he is someone who can even play up the order, I can see him playing in 50-over cricket going forward. He can bat at No. 4, No. 5 or No. 6.

“On any odd day, the Indian team can be 40 for 4 in 5-6 overs. And I hope Rinku Singh is ready to play any role, I hope he doesn’t want to be tagged himself as a finisher. He should be looking to excel in all departments,” he added.

Meanwhile, Team India suffered a loss in the third T20I against Australia on Tuesday (November 28). Asked to bat first, India rode on Ruturaj Gaikwad‘s sensational century to score 222 for 3. However, an unbeaten century from Glenn Maxwell saw Australia chase down the total on the final ball and keep the series alive.

“It all went pretty quickly. It was hard work for them to bowl yorkers with so much dew. We didn’t really have a number in mind. Wade was brilliant out there, the way he went helped me as well.”

Australia National Cricket Team all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was absolutely livid with the non-wide call of the on-field umpire Rohan Pandit in the third T20I of the five-match series against India National Cricket Team at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati on Tuesday, November 28.

Chasing the target of 223 runs in the do-or-die T20I, Glenn Maxwell batted magnificently well. He played a blinder of an innings and took his team past the finish line.

However, Maxwell’s innings wasn’t a smooth one and several times he was left dissatisfied with the decision of the on-field umpires. He expressed his frustration multiple times and he took it one step further when he slammed his bat on the pitch.

On the last ball of the 18th over, Prasidh Krishna bowled a slower length delivery wide outside off-stump and Glenn Maxwell shuffled across and looked to drag the ball into the leg-side. However, he missed the ball completely and thought it was a wide. However, after the on-field umpire Rohan Pandit declared it as a fair delivery, Glenn Maxwell expressed his frustration by slamming his bat on the pitch.

Watch The Clips Here:

Maxwell finished his innings with a knock of 104 runs off 48 balls. His innings consisted of 8 maximums and 8 fours. Also, Maxwell alongside Matthew Wade guided Australia to their first win in the series and now it stands at 2-1 with India leading.

It all went pretty quickly – Glenn Maxwell

The star all-rounder was awarded Player of the Match for his heroics and speaking during the post-match presentation ceremony, he said that he just wanted to take the game deep. He said:

“It all went pretty quickly. It was hard work for them to bowl yorkers with so much dew. We didn’t really have a number in mind. Knew we would be in the game if we could take it down to the final over.”

Glenn Maxwell further lauded his captain Matthew Wade for staying not-out till the end and guiding the team to the win. He said:

“Wade had to be out there to cash in with Axar having one over left towards the end. Wade was brilliant out there, the way he went helped me as well.”

In the chase of 223 runs, Australia had a decent start but they lost wickets quickly and their chances to win looked bleak. However, Glenn Maxwell chipped in and played a blinder of an innings. The batter came to bat when the team was tumbling at 66/2.

Glenn Maxwell looked in staggering touch and was in the mood as he made a mockery of Indian bowlers. The all-rounder continued his golden touch from the World Cup 2023 and did the carnage on the young Indian team, smashing them all over the park.

Despite wickets falling at the other end, Glenn Maxwell looked unfazed as he continued playing his shots. The batter put on an exhibition of unorthodox batting and made the crowd at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati go absolutely silent.

Glenn Maxwell brought up his ton in 47 balls and made sure that he took his side to glory. The all-rounder slammed his fourth T20I, which is also his joint-fastest for Australia. Ravi Bishnoi has made a habit of producing peach of balls. The ongoing third T20I between India and Australia at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati was host to one as bowled a sensational delivery to wicket-keeper batter Josh Inglis.

After Australia lost Aaron Hardie (16), Josh Inglis tried to get going and put pressure on the bowlers. However, his stay at the crease was cut short by Ravi Bishnoi who made the batter look clueless with a peach of the ball that he produced.

Ravi Bishnoi bowled a flatter delivery on the middle stump that was quick through the air. He bowled a goodly that wasn’t short and Josh Inglis pressed back to play. He had no clue about where the ball was turning. He gave away his stumps while trying to dangle his bat at it.

The ball went past him and zipped through to hit the middle of the middle stump. Here’s the video of his dismissal:

Josh Inglis managed just 10 runs off 6 balls. He scored two boundaries and looked in good touch. After his wicket, Marcus Stoinis along with Glenn Maxwell tried to take the game away from India but the former was removed by Axar Patel for 17 runs off 21 balls.

IND vs AUS:  Ravi Bishnoi sends Tim David packing for golden duck

Ravi Bishnoi in his second spell yet again put his team on top as he removed dangerous Tim David for a golden duck. The bowler bowled a full delivery on off-stump, which was googly. The batter pressed forward and pushed at it.

The ball stopped on him a touch and it lobbed up towards Suryakumar Yadav at extra cover. Ravi Bishnoi finished with the figures of 2/32 in his 4 overs. His spell put the team in a dominating position. However, till the time Glenn Maxwell is there one cannot say anything. The all-rounder has slammed a brutal half-century and is looking solid at the crease. It’s fair to say if he stays till the end, he can take his team home.

Gaikwad didn’t look at his best in the initial half of his innings and he wasn’t able to get going. He batted quite cautiously and took time to settle down in the middle.

Ruturaj Gaikwad took 32 balls to complete his half-century and after taking his time he launched an attack on the Australian bowlers. He smashed the bowlers all over the park and showed everyone why he is rated as one of the most talented batters in the country.

Ruturaj Gaikwad activated his beast mode in the 20th over of the innings and destroyed the part-time off-spinner Glenn Maxwell. Notably, Maxwell was brought in by Matthew Wade to bowl his first over in the final over of the first innings.

Glenn Maxwell Bowls 30-Run Over Against Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tilak Varma

When Glenn Maxwell came to bowl the score of India was 192-3 after 19 overs and after his over India reached 222-3 in 20 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad started off the over by hitting a six and completing his hundred off 52 balls.

On the second ball, Gaikwad hit a four and it turned out to be a no-ball. He took a single on the next delivery, before getting back on the strike as Tilak Varma took a single on the third ball of the over.

Glenn Maxwell then bowled a wide, before getting hammered for 2 sixes and one four to finish over the over. Overall, he conceded 30 runs in the over and this was the most expensive over bowled by an Australian in the history of T20I cricket. He went past Brett Lee’s 27-run feat to achieve the unwanted record.

Ravichandran Ashwin was in awe of Suryakumar Yadav’s trademark shot in the ongoing third T20I between India and Australia. The virtual series decider between teams is taking place at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

India were asked to bat first and they didn’t have a great start to their innings as they lost Yashasvi Jaiswal (6) and Ishan Kishan (0) early. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav chipped in and soaked in all the pressure as he played some glorious shots and entertained fans.

The first six Suryakumar Yadav hit looked staggering to the eyes. Nathan Ellis bowled a delivery on a length and angled into the right-hander. The Indian batter got down low, watched the ball, and used the pace. He paddled it over a long leg for a maximum. The ball sailed over for the big six and brought the crowd into the act.

Ravichandran Ashwin heaped rich praise on Suryakumar Yadav for the sensational stroke and mentioned that despite watching this shot many times, it gives him the same thrill. Taking to his X account, he said:

“I have watched him play this shot so many times but the thrill it gives me while I watch it is the same every single time.”

Suryakumar Yadav continued his golden touch as he batted magnificently and made sure that his side didn’t come under pressure. The Indian captain, who scored 80 runs in the first game, played another blistering knock for his team.

Suryakumar Yadav was early on the shot and the ball caught a big edge on its way to the keeper. The Indian captain scored 39 runs off 29 balls. He batted with a strike rate of around 135 and also slammed 5 fours and 2 sixes in his innings.

The 31-year-old India National Cricket Team medium-pacer Deepak Chahar has been added to the T20I squad for the remainder of the five-match T20I series against Australia National Cricket Team.

Chahar, who is a highly injury-prone player, has not played for the India National Cricket Team for a long period of time. His injuries have troubled him a lot and that is one of the big reasons behind him not being in India’s scheme of things in white-ball cricket.

Deepak Chahar last played a T20 International (T20I) match for the India National Cricket Team on October 4, 2022, against the South Africa National Cricket Team in Indore. His last One Day International (ODI) appearance came on December 7, 2022, against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team in Mirpur.

Meanwhile, the pacer has returned to the setup for the home T20I series against Australia National Cricket Team. His comeback was made possible due to the unavailability of pacer Mukesh Kumar for the third T20I.

Deepak Chahar has been added to India’s squad – BCCI

Mukesh Kumar, who was part of the playing XI in the first two T20Is against Australia, was granted leave by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ahead of the third T20I for his wedding.

To deal with Mukesh Kumar‘s absence, the BCCI added Deepak Chahar to the squad. Although Mukesh Kumar is set to return to the team ahead of the fourth T20I, Deepak Chahar will remain part of the squad for the remainder of the series.

“Fast bowler Mukesh Kumar made a request to BCCI to be released from India’s squad ahead of the third T20I against Australia in Guwahati. Mukesh is getting married and has been granted leave for the duration of his wedding festivities.

“He will join the squad ahead of the 4th T20I in Raipur. Pacer Deepak Chahar has been added to India’s squad for the remainder of the series,” the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in an official statement.

Overall, Deepak Chahar has played 13 ODIs and 24 T20Is for India National Cricket Team. In those matches, he has picked up 16 and 29 wickets respectively.

The 30-year-old India National Cricket Team right-arm pacer Mukesh Kumar was not a part of the playing XI in the third T20I of the five-match series against Australia National Cricket Team.

The match between the teams is currently underway at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati on Tuesday, November 28. India are entering the third T20I with a winning momentum. The Men In Blue won the first match by 2 wickets with 1 ball remaining and the second match by 44 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Mukesh Kumar looked good with the ball in the first two matches and registered figures of 0/29 and 1/43. His performance in the first T20I was one of the reasons behind India’s win as he bowled a highly economical spell where other bowlers were taken to cleaners.

The absence of Mukesh Kumar from the playing XI for the third T20I surprised many and the BCCI took to X to reveal the reason behind it. BCCI stated that Mukesh Kumar was unavailable for the game as he had asked for a leave for his wedding. Deepak Chahar has been added to the squad as his replacement and Mukesh will return ahead of the 4th T20I.

“Fast bowler Mukesh Kumar made a request to BCCI to be released from India’s squad ahead of the third T20I against Australia in Guwahati. Mukesh is getting married and has been granted leave for the duration of his wedding festivities.

Former West Indies batsman Chris Gayle has laughed off the comparisons between him and India star Suryakumar Yadav. The right-handed batsman is currently the number one T20I batsman in the world.

He took the T20I by storm after making his debut in 2021 and has only gone from strength to strength since then. In 55 T20Is so far, Suryakumar Yadav has scored 1940 runs at an average of 46 and a strike-rate of almost 175. He has also smashed 3 centuries and 16 half-centuries.

Suryakumar Yadav’s impressive exploits in the shortest format of the game have made many compare him with some legendary cricketers such as AB de Villiers. He has also been compared with Chris Gayle for the way he has dominated the T20 format. However, Chris Gayle, thе sеlf-proclaimеd Univеrsе Boss, believes otherwise.

“No, thеrе’s no othеr Gaylе. Thеrе will nеvеr еvеr bе anothеr Gaylе. It’s only going to bе onе Univеrsе Boss, just onе,” Chris Gayle was quoted as saying by OneCricket.

“I likе his aggrеssivе batting. I want battеrs to dеstroy bowlеrs, and Rohit is onе of thеm who doеs that,” he added.

Chris Gayle is one of the most decorated T20 batsmen of all time. In T20s, he has scored over 14000 runs with the help of 22 centuries and 88 half-centuries. In T20Is, he has scored 1899 runs with the help of 2 centuries and 14 fifties and has also won two T20 World Cup titles.

Former India cricketer Abhishek Nayar lauded young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for his batting performances in the ongoing five-match T20I series against Australia. Nayar expressed confidence in Yashasvi Jaiswal’s inclusion in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2024.

Yashasvi Jaiswal played a remarkable innings in the second T20I against Australia. The left-handed batter scored a rapid 53 runs off 25 balls with the help of nine boundaries and two sixes. He made history by recording the most runs for Team India in the power play of T20Is.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Has Consistently Done Well – Abhishek Nayar

The 21-year-old joined the elite list of Indians – Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul – by scoring a half-century in the powerplay of a T20I match. His quickfire innings set up the platform for India to reach a total of 235 runs. The hosts secured a 44-run victory in Thiruvananthapuram.

Abhishek Nayar predicted Yashasvi Jaiswal to be a frontrunner for a spot in the T20 World Cup team, emphasizing his improved batting skills. Nayar mentioned that the IPL will be a factor in the selection, but Jaiswal’s performance is a significant factor in his favor.

“He (Yashasvi) has been part of the T20 set-up for the last couple of series and has constantly done well for the team. Even in Test cricket, he is someone who is evolving into a future star. So, you expect him to be on the team. It is still a fair distance away, with IPL in between. But the way he is playing now, he will surely be a frontrunner for that spot,” Nayar said.

Today Was A Genius Knock – Abhishek Nayar

Nayar praised Yashasvi Jaiswal’s innings against Australia in the second game, describing it as a “genius knock.” Nayar highlighted Jaiswal’s strategic approach, noting how he adjusted to the conditions and accelerated after a slow start.

“Today was a genius knock because he felt that the first two overs weren’t conducive for batting. When Maxwell came in to bowl, that’s when he kind of put his foot on the pedal. There was a two dimensional Yashasvi Jaiswal today where he created pace and used pace brilliantly. You could see him play towards third man, playing square of the wicket and when it required, getting the power through the on side through mid-wicket. So, all in all, a very controlled, yet aggressive innings from Jaiswal,” Nayar added.

India Cricket Team created history after their 44-run win over Australia in the second T20I. The match between the two teams took place at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram and Men in Blue took a 2-0 lead in the five-game series.

With the win, India now became the team with the joint-most victories in the history of the T20Is. The Men in Blue now have 135 wins in 211 matches. They are now at the top of the list alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, who have 135 wins in 226 games.

India were asked to bat first and they were off the flying start as Yashasvi Jaiswal (52) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (58) added 77 runs for the opening partnership inside the power play. After the left-hander got out, Gaikwad held one end whereas others around him played freely.

Ishan Kishan (52) slammed a brutal half-century that set the tempo for the team. Before Suryakumar Yadav (19) and Rinku Singh (31*) played brutal cameos in the end powering India to a big total of 235 runs on the board. For Australia, Nathan Ellis picked three wickets whereas Marcus Stoinis picked one wicket.

With the ball, India were spot on as they chipped in from time to time and put Australian batters under pressure. They reduced the batting side to 58/4. After that Marcus Stoinis (45) and Tim David (37) played brutal knocks and put India under pressure but bowlers picked wickets at regular intervals.

Skipper Matthew Wade (42*) tried his best but in the end target was too much as India restricted Australia to 191-9. They won the game by 44 runs and bagged a 2-0 lead. The Men in Blue also are currently the No.1 ranked T20I side in the world.

IND vs AUS: The boys are not putting too much pressure on me – Suryakumar Yadav after India’s win in the second T20I

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav talked about the win in the second game. He said that his players are performing well and are not pressure on him. He also lauded Rinku Singh for his staggering finish in the end. He elaborated:

“The boys are not putting too much pressure on me. They are taking onus. I told them before, to be prepared to bat first. There was a lot of dew. We talked about defending it later. When I saw Rinku come in to bat in the last game, the composure he showed was brilliant. It reminded me of someone(laughs). Everyone knows the answer(laughs again).”

The third T20I between India and Australia will be played on 28th November in Guwahati

India National Cricket Team pacer Prasidh Krishna looked good with the ball in the second T20I of the five-match series against Australia National Cricket Team at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, November 26.

Krishna didn’t have a good outing in the first T20I against the Aussies and he was taken to cleaners. The right-arm pacer conceded 50 runs and picked up just one wicket in his quota of overs.

In the second T20I, Prasidh Krishna made a stellar comeback and picked up a three-wicket haul in the match. However, he wasn’t very economical as he gave away 41 runs.

Prasidh Krishna came to bowl the 16th over and further damaged the Australian batting unit. He started off the over by picking the wicket of Sean Abbott and finished off the over by dismissing Nathan Ellis.

On the first ball of the over, Prasidh Krishna nailed a sensational yorker that went on to rattle the stumps of Abbott. Also, on the last delivery of the over, he bowled a length delivery that went past Nathan Ellis’ bat to shatter the stumps.

The boys are not putting too much pressure on me – Suryakumar Yadav

India National Cricket Team posted a huge total of 235/4 on the board. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ishan Kishan hit terrific fifties while Rinku Singh, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Nagar provided a sensational finishing touch.

Defending the target, the Indian bowlers looked threatening with the ball despite the dew factor. They managed to restrict the Aussies to 191/9 to win the match by 44 runs.

Speaking during the post-match presentation ceremony, captain Suryakumar Yadav said that the players are not putting too much pressure on him. He elaborated:

“The boys are not putting too much pressure on me. They are taking onus. I told them before, to be prepared to bat first. There was a lot of dew. We talked about defending it later. When I saw Rinku came in to bat in the last game, the composure he showed was brilliant. It reminded me on someone(laughs).”

Young India National Cricket Team player Tilak Varma took an absolutely sensational catch in the second T20I to dismiss the in-form Australia National Cricket Team batsman Josh Inglis.

India and Australia are locking horns with each other in the second T20I of the five-match series at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, November 26.

Inglis delivered an outstanding performance with the bat in the first T20I and hit a brutal ton. He smashed 110 runs off 50 balls, with 11 fours and 8 sixes. The Aussie batsman was a big threat for India in the second T20I as well, but he wasn’t able to do any damage, thanks to Tilak Varma’s phenomenal catch.

On the second ball of the 5th over, leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi bowled a fuller and quicker delivery to Josh Inglis. The Aussie batsman tried to smash the ball over mid-on but wasn’t able to get a good connection. Tilak Varma ran back, stretched out, and timed the jump to perfection to complete a sensational catch. Inglis was back in the hut after scoring 2 runs off 4 balls.

Speaking ahead of the match, Tilak Varma stated that the experience of playing at the Visakhapatnam was good for him. He said:

“Was a pretty good experience [at Visakhapatnam], the wicket was a bit challenging. Winning there was a good experience.

Tilak Varma added that he is working on his finishing skills as this will be his role in the team. He said:

“It’s going good, I’m working on finishing games for the Indian team. This role is not new for me, I’ve played a similar role for Mumbai Indians. Finishing games for the Indian team is a dream for me, I’ve got the role now so it’s about going out there and doing the job. I’m just thinking about my mindset, it’s all about having the right mindset, if I’m calm under pressure I can finish games.”

Ravi Bishnoi yet again provided his team with the opening breakthrough as he removed Matthew Short for the second time in the series. The second T20I between India and Australia is taking place at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram.

After India posted a total of 235 runs, Australia were off to a decent start as Matthew Short and Steve Smith added 35 runs for the opening start. It seemed that they would be of the flier but Ravi Bishnoi drew the first blood for his team as he sent Matthew Short packing.

Ravi Bishnoi bowled a googly that pitched outside off. Matthew Short attempted a big swing away from the body with no foot movement. He was deceived by the googly as he got an inside edge that pegged back the leg stump.

Here’s the video:

Matthew Short ended with the knock of 19 runs off 10 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 190 and also hit 3 fours in his innings. His innings set the platform for the other batters but they couldn’t get going at all as Indian bowlers picked wickets at regular intervals.

IND vs AUS: Ravi Bishnoi removes Josh Inglis and Tim David as well

After removing Matthew Short, Ravi Bishnoi removed Josh Inglis as well. The keeper-batter, who scored a century in the last game, perished for a low total in this game. The leg-spinner bowled a fuller, quick delivery to which the Australian batter tried to swing across the line.

He didn’t get it off the middle but it seemed that it would land safely. However, Tilak Varma stretched out every sinew and timed the jump perfectly while running backwards from mid-on. Josh Inglis scored just 2 runs off 4 balls.

If this was not enough, Ravi Bishnoi then sent Tim David packing as well. The Australian batter looked threatening and it seemed that he would take the game away from India. But the spinner provided his team with the crucial breakthrough. The batter was late on the pull and was caught in the deep. David scored 37 runs off 22 balls.

Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal was at his exceptional best with the bat during the ongoing second T20I against Australia. The match between the teams is taking place at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram.

Yashasvi Jaiswal took India off the flier as he came out with a positive mindset and took the attack to the bowlers. He played with the field and timed the ball to perfection. The batter made sure that he utilized powerplay to the full extent and put the Aussie side under pressure.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s best came during the 4th over when he took Sean Abbott to the cleaners. The Southpaw smashed him for 24 runs in the fourth over. He kick-started the over with a boundary and then followed it up with a similar shot on the second ball. The batter hit a cheeky boundary on the third ball to make three fours and trot.

Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed six on the fourth ball and followed it with another six on the fifth ball. He played with the field and made Australia’s captain and bowlers look clueless.

Yashasvi Jaiswal ended with the knock of 53 runs off 25 balls and laid the solid platform for his team. He batted with a strike rate of over 210 and also smashed 9 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. His vital knock at the start powered the team to a total of 235 runs.

Australian pacer Jason Behrendorff gave a witty reply when he asked about how to stop Suryakumar Yadav in T20Is. He said that giving the ball to someone else can save the bowler. He also talked about challenges ahead of the second game against India.

Suryakumar Yadav played a stupendous knock in the first T20I of the series against Australia. The skipper led from the front and took his team home. He hit balls all over the park and made mockery of Australian bowlers, smashing them all over the park.

Suryakumar Yadav ended with a knock of 80 runs off just 42 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 190 and also smashed 9 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. His rollicking innings helped India chase the massive target of 209 runs, which is also their highest successful T20I chase.

He will be a great threat to Australia in the second T20I as well. Ahead of the game, pacer Jason Behrendorff was asked about Suryakumar Yadav and he stated that one needs to “Give the ball to someone else may be” to stop him in the shortest format of the game.

Jason Behrendorff also talked about the youngsters of the Indian team, saying that they all are pretty good. Speaking to reporters, he elaborated:

“They are all pretty good players and may be try to keep them guessing, just to stay one step ahead which is hard to do at times. Maybe, do what we can in terms of change in pace, line and length.”

I have been pretty fortunate that the ball swung pretty much whenever I have played in India – Jason Behrendorff

Jason Behrendorff also talked about his bowling, saying that he has been fortunate that he always found swing in India. He also added that he changes his variations, depending on the conditions.

“I have been pretty fortunate that the ball swung pretty much whenever I have played in India. So, sticking to my strength and trying to swing the ball upfront and take wickets in Powerplay, that’s what I have been able to do over a period of time.

“The main thing was to see if there’s any swing upfront and that’s my main strength and trying to stick to that. Line-wise, I was generally trying to be straighter than anything because you know in India it can travel to the fence quickly. In terms of variations, I try it depending upon the surface and at some places it grips more than others.”

The second T20I between India and Australia will be played on Sunday (26th November) at Thiruvananthapuram.
