Coming into the back of two consecutive ducks, Rohit Sharma made sure that he compensated for the failures and reply his critics in style. The opening batter looked scratchy in the start and it was obvious especially with the India team reeling at 22/4 just inside the powerplay.

Suryakumar Yadav’s wife Devisha Shetty posted a video of her husband in which the batter was seen enjoying Rohit Sharma’s innings. In the clip, the wife of the cricketer can be heard saying: “This guy has just come out of surgery 20 minutes back and guess what he is doing? Watching cricket.”

Suryakumar Yadav got injured in the T20I series against South Africa. He twisted his ankle and since then has been out of the action. He recently developed a hernia and then underwent surgery. The batter is likely to make a comeback in the IPL now and will be crucial for the team.

Rohit Sharma played an innings of unbeaten 121 runs off 69 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 175.36 and slammed 11 fours and 8 sixes in his innings. His knock saw him etching his name in the record books for India in the T20Is.
Rohit Sharma with his 121* became the Indian captain with the highest individual score for the team in the shortest format of the game. He surpassed his own record when he slammed 118 against Sri Lanka a few years back.
Rohit Sharma’s innings in Bengaluru might now have made his case strong for the T20 World Cup 2024.
