Australia captain Pat Cummins exchanged his jersey with West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph after the Caribbean pacer showcased an amazing show in Australia vs West Indies 2nd Test. Notably, Pat Cummins also took Shamar Joseph’s autograph on the jersey.

Shamar Joseph propelled West Indies to a victory by 8 runs in the match. The right-arm seamer hunted 7 wickets in the 2nd innings of the match to drive West Indies to historic victory. The nail-biting match witnessed West Indies defend a 216-run target in the final innings.

Australia captain Pat Cummins showcased a sweet gesture for Shamar Joseph after the latter’s heroics at The Gabba Stadium in Brisbane. Cummins exchanged his jersey with the young Caribbean pacer.

West Indies won nail-biting 2nd Test to script history

In Australia vs West Indies 2nd Test, West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first at The Gabba Stadium in Brisbane. They piled up a powerful total of 311-10 in 1st innings. Later, Pat Cummins & Boys were restricted to 289-9 (d) in 2nd innings.

Later, West Indies failed to make a mark with the bat in 2nd innings, getting all-out for 193. With a 216-run target, the home side looked favourites to win the match. However, the young West Indies side had other plans.

With Shamar Joseph’s stunning spell of 7 wickets for 68, West Indies won the match by 8 runs in the end. Opener Steve Smith added an unbeaten 91 runs on the board and held his wicket at one end. However, the Caribbean seamer dismissed the last man Josh Hazlewood on the other end to script history books in West Indies Cricket.

AUS vs WI Series ends in 1-1 tie

Meanwhile, the AUS vs WI Test series ended in a 1-1 tie as West Indies demolished Australia in the 2nd Test by a thin margin. Earlier, Australia crushed West Indies by 10 wickets in 1st Test.

Shamar Joseph also won the Player of the Series award for clinching 13 wickets across 2 games in Australia vs West Indies Test series. He grabbed 8 wickets in the AUS vs WI 2nd Test. Earlier, the 24-year-old pacer picked 5 wickets in the opening Test that was a five-wicket haul.
