Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle feels that the Qualifier 1 game between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be a ‘master vs apprentice’ clash. Harsha Bhogle referred to MS Dhoni as the master while Hardik Pandya was his apprentice.
The GT vs CSK, IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 match, is set to take place on May 23 (Tuesday) at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. While GT is the strongest team in the tournament, CSK will have the home advantage in the match. The winner books a berth in IPL 2023 final.

GT vs CSK is Master Vs Apprentice Clash: Harsha Bhogle
While speaking on Cricbuzz, commentator Harsha Bhogle said that GT vs CSK game is like a master vs apprentice clash. He was also worried if Hardik Pandya will bowl in the match as he skipped bowling overs in the previous clash.
“It will be the master versus the apprentice. I was a little worried by the Hardik Pandya situation as he didn’t bat or bowl against RCB. But he needs to bowl, because when he is bowling with the new ball alongside Mohammed Shami, he is very good when he gets the ball moving. So, I would like to see that,” said Bhogle.

Harsha Bhogle, who is also a commentator and presenter in IPL 2023, pointed out that the pitch will favour Chennai Super Kings because it is their home game. However, he also said that GT is not bad in low-scoring games.
“This will be a track that favors Chennai. It depends on how Gujarat Titans can use that situation. But remember that GT are not bad playing a 150-160 game. GT can also use Jayant Yadav as an Impact Player. If Hardik could bowl, they can get in Jayant Yadav instead of Yash Dayal if it is that kind of track because they will have that extra pacer. I just hope his back is fine,” Bhogle further said.
Gujarat Titans topped IPL 2023 points table with 20 points, winning 10 games and losing just 4 out of 14. Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand, grabbed the 2nd place with 17 points, after winning 8 games and losing 5 (1 no result).
