One of the main reasons behind that staggering start was Ruturaj Gaikwad. The young batter played some magnificent strokes all across the ground and made many stand and applaud him. He continued his golden touch and played another staggering knock.

One of the main highlights of his innings was when he took Kuldeep Yadav to the cleaners in the 12th over. Ruturaj Gaikwad hit the first six on the second ball over the long-off area before hitting another maximum over long-on on 4th delivery. If this was not enough, he then went down to the ground and smashed the third six.

DC vs CSK: Chennai Super Kings posts a mammoth total of 223 runs 

After the staggering opening partnership by Ruturaj Gaikwad (79) and Devon Conway (87), Shivam Dube struck some lusty blows and played a cameo of 22 runs in 9 balls. Before Ravindra Jadeja blasted 20 runs in 7 balls to take CSK to a total of 223 runs. For DC, Chetan Sakariya was the pick of the bowlers as he returned with the figures of 1/36.
