Lockie Ferguson of New Zealand has spoken out about his experience as a player for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022. Ferguson, who played for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022, bowled the fastest ball of the tournament against the Rajasthan Royals in the final.
Hardik Pandya works as the team’s captain, and Ashish Nehra is the head coach. Having won their first championship in the 2022 season, the Gujarat Titans are the current IPL champions.
The Gujarat Titans have decided to keep three players ahead of the mega-auction in 2022. Hardik Pandya, an all-rounder, was drafted for 15 crores, Rashid Khan, a bowler, was drafted for 15 crores, and Shubman Gill, a batsman, was drafted for 8 crores.
In the two-day IPL 2022 mega auction, Gujarat Titans signed 18 new players. Their most expensive purchase was New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson (base price – 2 crores), on whom they spent 10 crores.

Lockie Ferguson, who previously played for the Kolkata Knight Riders and Rising Pune Supergiants in the IPL, expressed his relief at finally winning after losing two finals. He also praised team captain Hardik Pandya and head coach Ashish Nehra for their leadership of the team.
“Yeah, it was a fun tournament.” I have made two IPL finals and lost both. It was enough just to cross the finish line and get that monkey off my back. With Hardik Pandya and Ashish Nehra leading the team, we are a pretty calm and collected bunch.”

Gujarat made IPL history by being the first team to win the title in their season debut against opponents who had already been competing since 2008.
