After a fantastic Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season, Rajasthan Royals (RR) batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal lately lavished praises on his international opening partner Jos Buttler.
During the period, Jos Buttler hit 847 runs, including four centuries for the club.
In his second stint in the starting XI, Jaiswal and Buttler formed a solid relationship at the top. The youthful left-handed batter was benched halfway through the tournament but returned during the franchise’s playoff push.
In an interview with the Times Of India, Jaiswal described Buttler as RR’s outstanding batsman, saying:
“Jos Buttler is a legend in his own right. He is a truly remarkable individual. He is an excellent human being. I have completed a few chess games against him and have always come out on top. He is our most valuable batsman.”
“Batting with him, sharing the changing room with him, and conversing with him are all enjoyable experiences. He knows how to deal with adversity. He makes batting seem so simple.”

Rajasthan Royals reached the tournament’s finals for the first time in 15 years after undergoing a major massive overhaul during the mega-auction. However, the debut champions were defeated by the Gujarat Titans (GT) and finished the tourney as runners-up.
Jaiswal expressed his support to win the championship with the team, saying:
“We have said at RR that we have to learn and improve daily. And we will concentrate on the process, work hard, and make courageous decisions, and the results will follow naturally. And I would like to see RR win the championship the following season. This season, we played fantastic cricket.”
After a favorable campaign in 2021, Yashasvi Jaiswal was managed to retain by the Sanju Samson-led side for the 2022 edition. The 20-year-old scored 258 runs in 10 games in IPL 2022, his most successful season in the tournament since his debut in 2020.
