It was Arjun Saud (51) and Dipendra Singh Airee (54), who were impressive to keep the team in good stead with a 68-run stand. Aayan Afzal Khan wreaked havoc by finishing with figures of 4/14 in 10 overs, which resulted in Nepal scoring only 179 in their designated quota of 50 overs.

The victory was orchestrated by Aarif Sheik and 16-year-old Gulshan Jha, who added 62 for the eighth wicket. While Gulshan Jha made 37, Aasif Sheikh remained unbeaten on 33 to take Nepal home in their chase of 192.
UAE were the first casualty of the ICC’s decision to impose a permanent ban on the use of saliva to polish the ball. On Wednesday, when Alishan Sharafu applied saliva to shine the ball during the second ODI against Nepal in Kirtipur, the on-field umpires awarded Nepal five penalty runs in line with the ruling that came into effect this September.
After Sompal Kami and Lalit Rajbanshi shone in bowling, Nepal got a target of 192 runs from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the second match of the three-match ODI series played in TU Cricket Ground Kirtipur on Wednesday.
