Australian batter Ben McDermott made many go gaga with his brutal shot in the ongoing fifth T20I against India. The dead rubber fifth game between the teams is taking place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Australia started the chase of 161 runs on a high note as Travis Head (28) slammed Indian bowlers all over the park. Even though Josh Phillippe (4) lost his wickets early, Ben McDermott made sure that he kept the run rate on high.

Ben McDermott so far has played some crisp shots in his innings. But his one hit caught the attention of many. He smacked Avesh Khan for a gigantic 98m six that landed on the roof of Bengaluru. It made the crowd go gaga and cheer loudly.

Avesh Khan bowled a short-of-length delivery to which Ben McDermott charged down the track. He got a flat top edge on the pull and the ball flew away for a big six. Here’s the video:

Ben McDermott will be crucial for Australia’s chances in the last game. He will have to carry his bat to take his team through. Australia are under pressure as they lost a few quick wickets and were left tottering at 55/3.
