Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) suffered a major blow as their new recruit Ashton Turner faced injury during the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 2023-2024 match. During the game between Perth Scorchers and Hobart Hurricanes, the all-rounder pulled up badly and it didn’t look great.
Ashton Turner came into the attack a little later but it wasn’t a fruitful outing for him. As he bowled his first ball, he pulled up and it seemed that he twisted his knee. He looked in immense pain and couldn’t continue his over further and then walked off the field.

Ashton Turner was acquired by Lucknow Super Giants for INR 1 crore and they would’ve their heart in the mouth. The all-rounder has been extremely threatening with bat and his ability to change the game within a few overs sets him apart from other batters.
Australian broadcasters however later provided a medical update on Ashton Turner and it would have a sigh of relief for Lucknow Super Giants. The all-rounder’s injury isn’t serious as he might come out to bat later on in the game.
The broadcaster also revealed that Ashton Turner has been facing issues in his knee for a while and it aggravated as he came to bowl. The all-rounder will be undergoing some tests before taking the field in the ongoing BBL game between Perth Scorchers and Hobart Hurricanes.

Lucknow Super Giants would be hoping that Ashton Turner gets fully fit as soon as possible. He played for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL earlier but he didn’t have a great time. However, this time around with the new management, he would be hoping to turn things around in the IPL 2024.
Ashton Turner has had a huge success for Australia, playing in India. He knows the condition well and has played some brutal knocks for his team. In the 19 games, he has slammed 110 runs and also has picked 4 wickets. If utilized well, he can be a great asset for Lucknow Super Giants with both bat and ball.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bought as many as six players in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction, which was held in Dubai on December 19. They spent the highest money on young Indian pacer Shivam Mavi as they spent INR 6.4 crore on him. They invested INR 20 lakhs in the U19 batter Arshin Kulkarni. They also spent a whopping amount of money on David Willey as they acquired him for INR 2 crore.
Lucknow Super Giants also brought M. Siddharth for INR 2.40 crore apart from Mohammed Arshad Khan, who will be getting INR 20 lakh.
