Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians from IPL 2013 to IPL 2023. Under his leadership, he drove the team to five IPL trophies. Under Sharma, the franchisee won the titles in IPL 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020.

Mumbai Indians Buy Gerald Coetzee For Rs. 5 Crore
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians bought 8 players during IPL 2024 auction. Their most expensive player was South African pacer Gerald Coetzee with Rs. 5 crore. MI also bought Nuwan Thushara (Rs. 4.8 cr) and Dilshan Madushanka (Rs. 4.60 cr).
Mohammad Nabi, Shreyas Gopal, Shivalik Sharma, Anshul Kamboj, and Naman Dhir were the other six players that MI bought during the IPL 2024 auction. A total of 72 players were sold during IPL 2024 auction including 30 overseas players.
Australia pacer Mitchell Starc broke all previous records to become the most expensive player in IPL history. He was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 24.75 crore. Pat Cummins also broke previous records to get a bid of Rs. 20.50 crore by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
