Controversies and the Pakistan Cricket Board and Pakistan players have a strong old relationship. Recently there were headlines of conflict between the Pakistani players and the PCB due to the non-payment of the salary of the cricketers. Also, many former cricketers have alleged the PCB for discriminating between some players.
There are many big Pakistani names such as Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Zaman Khan, and Haris Rauf that play in T20 leagues all around the globe for the sake of extra money. However, a recent source has revealed a new conflict between the Pakistani players and PCB due to the NOC for playing in T20 leagues.
Players have to present the No Objection Certificate from their cricketing board if they wish to feature in the various T20 leagues. The source says that players are angry with the PCB’s NOC policy as they lose their self-respect in front of the other cricket boards.
A player said as per the source, “It’s not about money. It’s about respect which Pakistani players are losing in front of different cricket boards because PCB gives no response on NOC!.”

Pakistan are going through a rough patch in international cricket and recently lost the five-match T20I series against New Zealand. Pakistan were defeated by 45 runs in the 3rd match of the series and the team failed yet again in all the departments.
New Zealand put up a score of 224 runs while batting first whereas Pakistan were only able to score 179 runs while chasing down the score. Also, ahead of the T20I series against New Zealand, Pakistan lost to Australia in the three-match Test series by 3-0.
Pakistan had a forgettable run in the 2023 ODI World Cup and were not able to make it through to the knockouts of the tournament. Pakistan finished fifth in the competition and were only able to win 4 games out of nine. Pakistan were only able to win matches against teams such low ranked teams such as Bangladesh, Netherlands, and Sri Lanka whereas they suffered a setback against Afghanistan.
Pakistan faced humiliating losses at the hands of India, Australia, England, and many other teams which resulted in their exclusion from the tournament. Apart from a dismal run in the ODI World Cup 2023, Pakistan were also not able to qualify for the final of the Asia Cup 2o23 and faced humiliating and one-sided losses against India and Sri Lanka.
With the T20 World Cup coming, Pakistan will want to focus up on their challenges as their current T20 form is a sign of worry for them.
