Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Ruturaj Gaikwad shattered the major record of Virat Kohli against Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The opening batter recorded the most runs against the defending champions in the league, surpassing Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) batter. 

Ruturaj Gaikwad’s love affair with Gujarat Titans in the IPL continued as he played a staggering knock in the ongoing Qualifier 1 and helped his side post a fighting total on the board. The opening batter continued his golden touch in the league and yet again gave his side a rollicking start.

Ruturaj Gaikwad smashed a brilliant knock of 60 runs in 44 runs that powered CSK to a total of 172. He batted with a strike rate of 136.36 and hit 7 fours and 1 six in his innings. Notably, this was the 4th half-century for him against Gujarat Titans in 4 innings.

With his innings, Ruturaj Gaikwad surpassed Virat Kohli’s tally of 232 runs against GT in the IPL. The batter now has 278 runs in four innings.
