Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are hosting Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 63rd game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. After being asked to bat first, the hosts on the account of blistering knocks by Marcus Stoinis (89*) and Krunal Pandya (49) posted a total of 177 runs on the board. 

But in their response, Mumbai Indians were off the flier as skipper Rohit Sharma (37) and Ishan Kishan (59) stitched yet another fifty-plus partnership. They made a mockery of the LSG bowlers and after being watchful initially, they took them to the cleaners.

The duo stitched 90 runs for the opening partnership and made bowlers, as well as fielders, toil hard. However during the 9th over, in an attempt to stop the boundary, a nasty collision was on the offer but fortunately, it wasn’t serious as both the players seemed to be okay.

Ishan Kishan swept the ball from Krunal Pandua towards the leg side. Ravi Bishnoi came running from the deep mid-wicket to save the boundary. He didn’t see Swapnil Singh coming as well from the deep square. They both ended up clashing on the dive and the ball went to hit the boundary ropes.
