The Bangladesh National Cricket Team visited New Zealand in 2022 for a short Test series. The BAN tour of NZ 2022 consisted of two Tests. The series formed a part of the ICC World Test Championship. Originally, Bangladesh were also scheduled to play T20Is on the tour but both the teams eventually decided against it.
The Bangladesh tour of New Zealand 2022 began with a warm-up game for the visitors. They played a 2-day warm-up game against New Zealand XI and the match ended in a draw. Bangladesh then won the first Test by 8 wickets to register their first-ever win over New Zealand in the longest format of the game. It was also Bangladesh’s first-ever win in New Zealand. The Black Caps won the second Test to level the series.
