Virat Kohli, on Tuesday (February 20), announced that he and his wife Anushka Sharma have welcomed their second child. After taking a break from the game citing personal reasons, the former India skipper finally revealed the reason behind his absence from the game.

Taking to social media, the batting superstar announced the arrival of his son Akaay while also revealing that the child was born on February 15. Virat Kohli as well as Anushka Sharma had managed to keep their location under wraps although few reports claimed that they were outside India and Virat Kohli’s latest photo very much proves that.

Soon after the India star announced the birth of his son, several fans took to X to share the ‘latest picture’ of him walking on the streets of London. Many are now convinced that the couple indeed welcomed their second child in England.

“With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika’s little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love and gratitude – Virat and Anushka,” read the post from Kohli and Anushka.

Virat Kohli to return in IPL 2024:

Virat Kohli is likely to return to action next month when IPL 2024 gets underway. The veteran batsman has not played a competitive game since the third T20I against Afghanistan last month. While he was named in the squad for the first two Tests against England, he decided to pull out at the last moment.

It was expected that he would be available for the last three Tests but Virat Kohli decided otherwise. The BCCI announced that the former captain would miss the final three games of the series as well. Talking about the ongoing five-match series, India are leading it 2-1.

They lost the first Test in Hyderabad before winning the second and third games to take the lead for the first time in the series. The fourth Test is scheduled to be played on February 23 in Ranchi.
